Hailing from Ripley, Surrey, England, this legendary blues guitarist, singer, & songwriter, Eric Clapton has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame no less than three times in his career for his work as a band member and solo artist. He has been ranked as the fourth in Rolling Stones’ “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. Some of his most famous tracks are “Tears in Heaven” from his solo career, “Layla” which he played with the band Derek and the Dominos, and Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads” which he played during his days with the band Cream. He also played with the band The Yardbirds during the early part of his career. Clapton has been coined with helping to introduce some blended genres of rock music such as blues-rock (with The Yarbirds) and psychedelic rock (with Cream). Recently Clapton has performed with musical talent Jeff Beck in London. The two former Yardbirds made stops on their tour at Madison Square Garden, Air Canada Centre, and Bell Centre in Montreal. He also played in a European tour with Steve Winwood during early summer 2010, and then played in his third Crossroads Guitar Festival. His release of his studio album, Clapton, in September 2010 has spawned his newest tour.
