He is also a guitarist and pianist an was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is 1995 and has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award. The Allman Brothers band enjoyed their hey day in the 1970’s and many of their hottest songs were written by Gregg. Allman and his band were characterised as a Southern Rock band with the infusion of rock, jazz, and blues. After the band split up, Gregg began a solo career, which focused more on soulful music as his biggest influences were Bobby Bland and Little Milton.
