The band first began as a side project from Andrew McMahon’s band Something Corporate. Jack’s Mannequin is composed of Bobby Anderson on guitar, Mikey Wagner on the bass, and drummer Jay McMillan. Just before the release of Jack’s Mannequin’s debut studio album, McMahon was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. They went ahead with the release of the album, Everything in Transit, in 2005, and McMahon made a full recovery shortly thereafter. The band has become extremely philathropic since, raising awarness and donating to leukemia foundations. The first studio album peaked at #37 on Billboard and they began touring. Their second album The Glass Passenger was released in 2008 and peaked at #8. Their most recent album People and Things was released in 2011 and they are currently on tour for that album.
